Today looks like it will be a rather active one with the threat for severe storms extending from Iowa down through south central Texas. The greatest probability for stronger cells will be from central Texas northward into central and eastern Oklahoma. It looks like things will really get going sometime this afternoon and continue throughout the evening. Large hail and high winds will be prevalent as well as a few tornadoes. Please check back later today for any updates. -Ricky/Weather Center

The Slight risk area for severe storms includes much of the St. Louis area. I expect low chances for severe weather, but it needs to be watched closely.
First I’m keeping an eye on any isolated storm that pops up through the early evening, higher chances West/Northwest of St. Louis.
Then I’ll be watching for a line of storms overnight in Central, MO that ideally weakens (if not falls apart completely) as it tries to move East towards St. Louis. I’ll keep you posted if I see changes.
